About

Laguna Hills High School was established in 1978. It is the smallest of four high schools in the Saddleback Valley Unified School District with an enrollment of approximately 1,500 students. The official school colors are brown and gold. Recent renovations brought many improvements to the school (a new stadium, a second multi-purpose room, a 4,500 sq ft weight room, and two wrestling rooms for both frosh-soph and varsity teams). LHHS teams are part of the Coast View Athletic Association which divides the 10 local high schools into the Saddleback Valley USD and Capistrano Valley USD. The top five teams in each sport are put in the tougher South Coast League, while the lower five teams are put into the Sea View League. With 8 consecutive CIF Division Championships and a California record 29 consecutive League Championships, the Hawks represent the most successful wrestling program in the county’s history.  With another CIF Division Championship in 2016, back-to-back Division 2 Dual Meet CIF Championships in 2007 and 2008, and the Division 1 Dual Meet CIF Championship in 2010, the Hawks have earned 13 titles since the CIF-Southern Section went to the six division format. Among the 575 schools in the Section, only Temecula Valley has more CIF titles in wrestling in this period. Laguna Hills High School has been ranked in the top 10 in Orange County wrestling for the past 15 seasons.
